Biography & Experience
Sarah is a Pittsburgh native and a 2021 graduate of Grove City College where she earned her B.M. in Music Education with concentrations in trumpet and voice. Sarah is currently a graduate assistant for the West Virginia University School of Music, working towards her M.M. in Wind Band Conducting. Previously, Sarah served as the Director of Bands at Clarion Area High School in Clarion, PA where she taught the concert, marching, and jazz bands for grades 6 through 12. She is a founding and current director of the Clarion County Community Band, and has served as a guest conductor with the PennWest University Clarion campus wind ensemble. During the summer of 2019, Sarah held an internship at Carnegie Mellon University in collaboration with the Pre-College Summer Music Program. She served as the assistant conductor and a guest trumpet player with the brass ensemble, under the direction of Mr. Drew Fennell of the River City Brass Band.

In addition to her musical training, Sarah also works in the theater arts. She currently serves as a vocal director and acting coach for the Elizabeth Forward High School musical program. Sarah was a member of the summer season and competition creative team at Jeter Backyard Theater for several years, serving in the role of Assistant Director/Choreographer. Sarah was a part of the creative team during developments of the pilot productions of Frozen Jr. and Frozen KIDS​, licensed by Music Theatre International. In addition to teaching in the theater, Sarah performs regularly with regional and community companies. She originated the role of Ismene in Antigone & the King, a new musical workshopped and premiered at Grove City College in January 2020. Sarah was most recently seen as a vocalist with spring and summer productions at the Barrow-Civic Theater.
Sarah is a member of national theater honorary Alpha Psi Omega, the Pennsylvania Music Educators Association, and the MAESTRA directory.
